Environmental issues continue to increase as both industry and population grow. Consequently, the quality of the water that is discharged back into the environment by human activities is of great importance. Many water quality issues can be controlled by treatment with Floc LogŪ products.
Polymer molecules within the FlocLogsŪ slowly dissolve in flowing water and react with suspended solids within the turbid water, forming floc and chelates . The floc and chelates drop to the basin bottom, allowing clarified water to be safely discharged into the receiving waters. Receiving waters have significantly reduced turbidity, total suspended solids (TSS) and corresponding reduction in total metals. Best of all, when used according to our recommendations, the Floc LogsŪ are non-toxic and environmentally safe, so they may be used "IN SITU" and discharged to sensitive environmental ecosystems.
FlocLogsŪ supplied by Clear Flow Consulting are simple to install and do not require any additional equipment or onsite power to dispense the product. Turbid stormwater or process water simply passes over Floc LogsŪ, in either a passive storm drain or swale system. Pumped systems can also utilize a similar clarification technique which we can help design. Water slowly dissolves the polymer blend, such that if flow rate naturally decreases the rate at which the polymer dissolves into the surrounding water also decreases.
