Golf Course - Pond Clarification
SITUATION
At a Signature Golf Course, located in Sherwood Park, Alberta had been facing (for the past couple of years) grass kills and insufficient water penetration in soil due to crusting by suspended solids found in the irrigation water.
SOLUTION
To remedy the problems they were facing, Clearflow set up their portable PR5 Water Treatment System to circulate the irrigation pond’s water. The PR5 produced reductions in TSS greater than 95%. After only four days of treatment a sample was collected and compared to a sample of the water taken prior to treatment. In most instances the tested parameters decreased, most noticeably the TSS/Turbidity values were reduced. It was a 95% reduction.
It should be noted that while no statistics were performed and many changes are small, some large differences were observed and are likely of statistical significance.
